Award for Excellence in Holocaust Education Application 2024 Instructions

The Holocaust Commission of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater wishes to honor teachers in Hampton Roads public or private schools who have demonstrated excellence in Holocaust education. Out of area teachers are also welcome to apply, with adjustments to the locally focused segments of the award. 

• CASH PRIZES!
• A full scholarship, including accommodations (if we are back to in person programs), to attend the Alexander Lebenstein Teacher Education Institute at the Virginia Holocaust Museum in Richmond, Virginia, or the Belfer Conference at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.
• Funds for a bus for their students to take a field trip to the Virginia Holocaust Museum, once field trips are safe again. (Admission is free).
